De Airbornemaand wordt normaal gesproken afgesloten met de jaarlijkse herdenking bij de Airbornebank bij het Dorpsplein; een moment om stil te staan bij hen die de Slag om Arnhem niet hebben overleefd en onze bevrijders te danken voor dat wat we herwonnen hebben: onze vrijheid.

Dit jaar zal de herdenking ergens anders plaatsvinden. De Airbornebank is vanwege de werkzaamheden aan de spooronderdoorgang in 2026 niet bereikbaar.

De Last Post, de volksliederen, een minuut stilte en de bloemleggingen maken deel uit van deze herdenking.

The Airborne Month typically concludes with the annual commemoration at the Airborne Bench near the village square; a moment to reflect on those who did not survive the Battle of Arnhem and to thank our liberators for what we have regained: our freedom.

This year, the commemoration will take place at a different location. The Airborne Bench is inaccessible due to construction work on the railway underpass in 2026

The Last Post, the national anthems, a minute of silence and the flower-laying are part of this commemoration.
